Paster

Paster is a small tool that allows you to quickly paste text online, using services such as http://rafb.net/paste.

When Paster runs, it will load any previously used nickname/language/description fields, and fill the editbox with the current clipboard contents. After you press Ctrl-Enter to upload the text online, it will copy the URL of the pasted text into your clipboard. No fuss.

Download

paster-1.0.zip (294 KB)

The project is released under the BSD license.

No Hot-key Support

Paster does not come with built-in hot-key support. I found it needless to implement. Use something like Copernic's WinKey or AutoHotKey to bind a keyboard shortcut for Paster. Personally, I use WinKey and make it run Paster.exe whenever I press Win-V.

Subversion

The subversion repository for the project can be accessed here: http://paster.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/paster/.

Changelog

The changelog can be also be accessed here: http://paster.svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/paster/trunk/?view=log.

this is definitely useful. i like how it also remembers the last paste url (and all the other info too).
i guess it's a beta release or something because it's a debug exe, it works good though.

This is not a debug exe, though it is rather large (because of libcurl). If you are having any problems with it, please let me know by e-mail - comrade64@live.com

I am a learner on irc and my usually day ends with lot of questions asking people help regarding linux configs , tools and packages , so this tool is really great , Its awsome i just paste and it gives me a short url , its really usefull

SUGESSION :
----------------
After aploading it shows the url in left down side , that url should be able to copy , so that it be more convineient for users.

The URL is automatically copied to the clipboard, so you don't need to type it off the status bar. Just go back to IRC and hit Ctrl-V. That was the whole idea :)

Pretty basic program for a simplified Microsoft-hugging mind. I hope you burn in hell.
